Tow Dolly, Polaris Slingshot

ATSS now offers these tow dolly kits for the assembly of your new purpose built Polaris Slingshot dolly.   The kit includes all the structural components fully welded  to allow for assembly of your new fully swivelable Polaris Slingshot tow dolly . Due to courier size limits, now practiced, the newest assembled version  now comes shipped LTL transport . Our newest design offers a folding tongue for even more portable storage !

KIT INCLUDES,
– all structural and non structural steel members welded,
-all safety chains and hardware supplied.
-2 mounted 2 inch tire ratchet straps, one 4 inch safety strap.
-hubs and axles greased and installed , 5 bolt 4 1/2 inch stud centers,
-swiveling tire cradle tray installed with  aluminum checker plate treads, and self  centering side rails.

-One base coat black Tremclad, oil based rust paint, a finish coat may be required.

-Safety chains, and ADJUSTABLE stop chains for swiveling

–  vehicle ramp for loading (roll off curb removed)

–Optional tongue jack, not needed for loading or transporting , just for storage if leaving horizontal and do not wish for tongue to sit on floor . Slingshot to be loaded with Dolly hitched to tow vehicle

KIT DOES NOT INCLUDE ,
-Rims and tires, as those would un-proportionately increase crate size and shipping costs, not to mention trailer tires and rims can be purchased online, delivered throughout the U.S. (wwtrailertires.com) at discounted prices. Our tire suppliers cannot compete, never mind extra shipping costs.   THE RECOMENDED TIRE SIZE IS 185 X 80 X 13 . Larger diameter tires will increase the risk of tires striking dolly on full lock parking lot turns. Stop chain adjustments must be made.

-Final paint touch ups, which may be required after assembly ,a pint of Tremclad Semi Gloss Black Tremclad can be picked up at any Home Depot or similar, use 1” foam roller to apply.

All dollies are shipped with the new version (unpainted one) cradles shown ,using 1 ” round tube verse angle iron for side rails with self centering angles at each end. c/w aluminum checker plate tread.

Compatible   – with rear tires up to 315, for larger than OEM rim and tire sizes exceeding 315 , call for custom side rail placement , Fits all 305 and under Slingshot tires.  NOTE, – ALL tire sizes must be checked with maximum turn radius to ensure tires dont strike tub , shorten stop  chains accordingly .To test maximum turn radius , unhook tow vehicle and pull tonque as far and as hard as possible to one side, narrower tires will continue to shift and turn  inside rails a bit  , Make sure maximum amount of movement has occurred and adjust chains a link or two if need be  . Repeat with vehicle and as tight a parking lot turn as vehicle allows with spotter watching dolly to ensure stop chains prevent tire striking.  

Compatible with  Polaris Slingshot fenders , though sliding the straps under takes an extra minute or two

Shipping Due to the increased cost of LTL trucking and huge steel price increases, to hold our prices firm , we now fully weld and assemble all kits , saving the customer time, and our fabricating shop saves the previous cost of bolt on flanges . However, LTL trucking charges additional fees for residential home deliveries, To offset the outrageous steel cost increases and  keep our pricing constant , the LTL trucking is only paid for by us to your nearest LTL depot (available in all cities) where you will have tp pick up the crate, unless the optional residential delivery is selected.  If you can provide a commercial delivery address with a loading dock or forklift, as your shipping address YRC will deliver there free.

Dolly Fenders are discontinued and no longer available as they were cosmetic only and could cause problems when stop chains are not properly adjusted.
