Since 2017 with the invent of the first Transporter , a pneumatic wheel lift device ( for use with a 3/4 ton or larger , truck only) ATSS has dominated the Slinghsot tow dolly industry with almost 200 Slinghsot Specific Tow Dolly Kits. While the design has evolved over time ,We are now pleased to introduce our current model.The V2,  This  new design improves handling and assembly, while reducing physical shipping size. Enabling it to be quickly broke down for storage and affordable courier shipments direct to the purchasers home. All welding and drilling is completed by the manufacturer and the purchaser simply performs assembly by bolting on the supplied wheels and pinning the four welded components together.  One of the biggest benefits of this new tow dolly design is it drastically improves portability for those whom do not have the room , and / or the  desire,  to store a full size Slingshot  trailer year round.

       While at first glance  this new design appears to use smaller more affordable tires, however  the actual tires now supplied, 20.5” diameter,           8” wide, are more  expensive then the previous 13 ” tires  and have been selected for the same reason all small boat trailers , double ATV           trailers and  snowmobile trailers use them , these wider  tires provide more rubber on the ground and sidewall suspension / support when           needed. The idea handling design would have the dolly tires fall within the  3 point footprint created by the two front slingshot tires and the           ball of the hitch. While the swingarm prevents this, we have been able to get these shorter tires closer to that point by removing almost 2 ‘           from the track width .The self centering rails and criscrossed strap design allow for minor controlled  swivelling within the cradle and like the        rear  tires  of any car , the outside one merely rotates faster creating a turn radius. Also Backing up carefully can now be accomplished with        this  new design, where as it was imposible with the first design ( a major customer concern ) Another design improvement with the selected        tires is the ability to transport the dolly empty with a reduced tire pressure , the wider tires better accomodate this than the previous higher          inflated narrow tires. The new tires with a max capacity of 970 lbs each inflated at 35 PSI , can be run at a lesser PSI when used on the              Slingshot with a max rear weight of 606 lbs over two tires.  

Thus a better design, delivered right to your door for less  money as the tires and rims are now included and no residential delivery costs          has to be added as was the case when LTL shipping the larger previous  design..     

KIT INCLUDES,
– all structural and non structural steel members welded,
-all safety chains and hardware supplied.  2” ball
-2 mounted 2 inch tire ratchet straps, one 4 inch safety strap. 2 safety chains                                                                                                      –     -20.5” diameter x 8 ” wide rims and tires
-hubs and axles greased and installed , 5 bolt 4 1/2 inch stud centers,
-self  centering side rails.for ease of loading and preventing rim damage                                                                                                                — -One base coat black Tremclad, oil based rust paint, a finish coat may be required.                                                                                     — —   –     -vehicle ramp for loading (roll off curb removed)

–Optional, Magnetic Tow Lights , in hard wired , or wireless,  required to be mounted magnetically to steel vertical frame member in front of                          control arms . (see red  photo). Consequently Slingshots with gap fillers will prevent these lights from being seen and a custom                           lighting mount will be reguired off mirror posts or roll hoops (not included)

Compatible   – with rear tires up to 315, for larger than OEM rim and tire sizes exceeding 315 , call for custom side rail placement , Fits all 305 and under Slingshot tires.

Compatible with  Polaris Slingshot fenders , though sliding the straps under takes an extra minute or two

The only warranties implied or otherwise, on behalf of ATSSMODS.com  is to ensure the parts are manufactured in a good workmanship like manner and free from defects for a period of one year from date of purchase.. The purchaser must ensure the Tow Dolly they assemble meets the requirements of their home State

MYTH  – “my manual prohibits the use of these tow dollies” .                                                                                                                                      FACTS– the manual has stated since the onset of the 2015 models, tow dollies are not to be used, but the tow dollies referred to are  the            automotive type where in all cases, it’s the front two tires that are placed on a tow dolly which on a SLINGSHOT would leave the drivetrain engaged  while  dollying, hence Polaris rightfully so, discouraged their use. This had to be the case, as Donny Anderson and myself had not yet  invented the Slingshot Specific rear tire tow dolly until 2016 so Polaris could not have possibly been referring to these as they did not exist..
